Basha Accelerated Middle School Registration
Thank you for considering Chandler Unified School District & Basha Accelerated Middle School (AMS) for your child's education. We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with you and your student in their educational journey.
Things to know about 2026/2027 AMS Open Enrollment:
- Open Enrollment is a two-step process. Families applying for Open Enrollment will receive a decision regarding their application status before winter break. If approved, online registration must be completed to secure their spot in the program.
- It is recommended that the student remain at their current school while awaiting their open enrollment decision. Please do not withdraw your student from their current school until open enrollment has been approved. If approved, you will then need to notify your student's current school about your intention to have them attend Basha AMS for the 2026/2027 school year..
- It is expected that the student on open enrollment remain at the requested school for the entire school year. Revoking an open enrollment to return to boundary CUSD school mid-year requires district approval.
If your child was not enrolled with CUSD during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, your application must include:
1. 2024-2025 AND 2025-2026: Grade reports or transcript
2. 2024-2025 AND 2025-2026: Detailed Attendance Summaries including dates and reasons for absences and/or tardies.
3. Discipline report from the student's current school. If your child does not have any discipline or behavior to report, please request a statement from the school including your student's name, date of birth, on school letterhead with the administrator's signature confirming your student does not have any discipline or behavior history to report.
4. Current IEP or 504 (if applicable)
If any of this information is missing, the application cannot be processed.
Please note, we do not request records for prospective students. It is the parent's responsibility to collect all necessary documents to complete the Open Enrollment application.
- One application per student is accepted. Please do not submit applications to more than one CUSD site. Submitting multiple applications may cause all applications to be cancelled.
- Providing false information will result in the request being denied and/or admission being revoked.
- Students who reside in the Basha High School boundaries may register to ride the Basha High School buses. Students who reside outside of Basha High School boundaries, but still within CUSD boundaries, may register for one of the depot stops. Students who reside outside of CUSD are not eligible for transportation of any kind.
Ready to Enroll?
Families will use the Secondary Open Enrollment Application to apply to Basha Accelerated Middle School. The 2026-27 Secondary Open Enrollment Application will be available for download Wednesday, October 1st.
The PDF application may be submitted via email to the school's registrar beginning at 7:30 a.m. on November 10, 2025. Applications sent prior to that date/time will be returned for resubmittal.

Open Enrollment Priority Groups
In accordance with A.RS. §15-816 and Policy 5-105, the District will give enrollment priority to applicants in the following order, so long as their enrollment can be accomplished in accordance with the District's admission criteria:
1. Resident transfer students who currently attend the school and their siblings
2. Children of employees and previously accepted and enrolled non-resident students
3. Resident transfer students
4. Previously accepted and enrolled non-resident students' siblings
5. Non-resident students
